In the Middle of a Storm, we must write.

Mujeres, so many mujeres.
Inspire one another to create, reinvent and reclaim.

Melodious anonymous
Streaming syllabus like river’s walk alongside mountains
Quietly separating vanity from truth
Misinterpretations and myths
The moving sky hears you
Submissively exhumes you
Identifies your anxieties
And the smothers continuums
Plentiful are formed letters
Letters formed from emotions angst

Melodious anonymous
Share-sparingly
Reach as Mother’s breath fills tired members
Embrace its warmth
Allow the kiss on brown skin
And in the darkest hours
The glistening eye piercing through
Is not punishing
It is protecting

  1. Recklessly hollow

    “good morning”
    Formed by fingers in wrote
    a thousand times
    with crumbling chalk
    unsteady hands

    Lean closer
    closer still to feel
    the cool blackness
    of the chalkboard

    Now blow
    Blow hard
    Watching words
    as dust and spittle
    become streaks and remnants
    of lines once
    ‘good morning’

    “Good Morning”
    Lips formed in stranger moments
    A Flat
    Ringing hollow
    Echoes off my ribs
    My lungs
    My heart
Bouncing around at a speed beyond sight
Bruising the fleshy parts of my soul

    Get out good morning
    Go off into your world
    Make your false declaration
    Tap on your distant truths
    Find your way
    Far far far
From my bruised and tender lips
    Forming your self
    Reaching for my ears first
    Echoing recklessly hollow
